The map is mostly symmetrical, both environmentally and in the distribution of the key elements of the game — such as the harvesting points. A symmetric map means that teams will be able to build and enact strategies without meaningful random factors such as resource placement, NPC strength, etc.
Each team's essence is stored in their respective base. As more essence is harvested, all players in a team will power up at the same time — it is therefore critical to have good coordination among your team.
Players can expand from their starting base by capturing harvest points. Harvest points are small outposts defended by NPCs, which must be defeated before outposts can be captured.
In addition, monsters that spawn in various portions of the map, rewarding players who defeat them with essence.
Controlling harvesting points is critical so players can spawn closer to the action if they are killed. If a team does not control any havesting point, they will spawn in their starting base.
